How do I book and pay for conference tickets?

You will need to use our booking site - https://bookwhen.com/namssuk   All tickets must be booked and paid for online at the time of booking therefore, to secure your tickets you will need a payment card, the delegates contact details and dietary & access requirements along with their workshop choices.  We do not provide invoices for conference tickets. 

Is it possible to pay for ticket by invoice/BACS?

No, all tickets must be paid for online at the time of booking via our booking site.  

Can I change my workshop choices?

We will make every effort to change your workshop choices where possible.  Please email your new choice to info@namss.ac.uk no later than 10am on Wednesday 5 January 2025.  Changes on the days of the conference are subject to space availability.  

How do I find out if I am a NAMSS member?

When will my booking be confirmed?

You should receive your emailed booking confirmation (from bookwhen.com) almost immediately.  If you do not please email info@namss.ac.uk so that we can ensure your email is correct.  We can not be held responsible for non-arrival of information. 

What room/hotel do I get when booking a ticket with accommodation?

You will stay in the actual conference venue hotel – Hilton Liverpool City Centre.  Rooms are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. The room included in the ticket price is a standard double with breakfast.

Can I book a twin room to reduce accommodation costs?

Yes, you can.  Please see our booking site for the appropriate ticket option.  Both people should book their conference ticket and pick the twin room ticket option.  

What board basis do I get when booking a ticket with accommodation?

Your Ticket includes ‘Bed & Breakfast’ accommodation.  If you wish to join us at the Gala Dinner which includes a 3-course meal and a live, as well as our NAMSS Awards and a charity raffle, on Monday please select the appropriate ticket option.

Will food and refreshments be provided during the Conference?

NAMSS will provide lunch and refreshments over the 2 day event; if you book accommodation that will include your breakfast.  If your ticket includes the Gala Dinner that’s your evening meal on Monday covered as well as a great night to socialise with colleagues and friends, watch the NAMSS Awards being announced, try your luck in the raffle, capture the moment in the photobooth and dance to the live band. There will be complimentary pre dinner drinks and wine on each table.

Is it possible to extend my stay / book for longer than just Sunday and/or Monday night?

You will need to book any extension directly with the hotel. 

Can I cancel my Conference ticket / accommodation booked with a ticket?

Yes, if you cancel before 4pm on Friday 7 February you will receive a refund minus an admin charge of £25 per ticket cancelled.  If you cancel after 4pm on 7 February you will not receive a refund but you can transfer your ticket to a colleague (see below).  Please email info@namss.ac.uk if you can no longer attend the conference. 

Can I transfer my Conference ticket to a colleague?

Yes!  Please email info@namss.ac.uk with the name and contact details of the colleague taking your ticket.  Please include any changes to the workshops they would like to attend (we will update these where possible) and, their dietary and access requirements .

Can I get an Early Bird Discount?

We are not offering an Early Bird Discount for 2025. 

When will I receive my conference badge? 

On arrival at the venue please ascend the large glass stairs to register and collect your ID badge and conference gifts.

What is the dress code?

Delegates tend to wear business attire/smart casual during the daytime.  Whilst there is no strict dress code for the Gala Dinner most people dress smartly. 

What parking / public transport arrangements are there near the venue?

We would recommend using the Liverpool One Q Park (L1 8LT) as you will receive 30% off the £25 per day tariff. You will need to get your parking ticket validated at the hotel.  Please note:  Other Q Parks do not offer the discount.  

The nearest train station is Liverpool Lime Street, less than a mile away.
