What room/hotel do I get when booking a ticket with accommodation?
You will stay in the actual conference venue hotel, this year it is the DoubleTree by Hilton Bristol City Centre. Please note, rooms are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. The room included in the quoted price is a standard double room. This year you can choose to book an additional room at a discounted rate of £100 ‘Bed & Breakfast’ for Sunday night as part of your Conference package if you prefer to travel the day before (see under 'booking options').
Is there an option to book a twin room to share with a colleague to reduce accommodation costs?
Yes, there is an option to select a twin-room which will reduce costs if booked as ‘double-occupancy’. See under ‘booking options’.
What board basis do I get when booking a ticket with accommodation?
Your package includes ‘Bed & Breakfast’ accommodation as part of your purchased conference ticket. There is also a 3-course meal and entertainment, as part of the Gala Dinner celebrations on the Monday evening.
Is it possible to extend my stay / book for longer than just the Monday night?
Yes, subject to availability, contact the DoubleTree by Hilton Reservations Desk via 0151 708 4200 or go to the DoubleTree by Hilton Bristol City Centre website doubletree3.hilton.com.
Do I need to book accommodation direct with the hotel?
Depending on your choice of booking option, you can choose to stay at the Hilton in which case NAMSS liaises with the Hilton to reserve your room. Alternatively, you are free to book your own accommodation elsewhere in Bristol if you prefer.
Can I cancel my NAMSS conference ticket / accommodation?
Yes, this should be done in writing to email@example.com but please be aware that you will incur fees if you cancel less than 4 weeks prior to the event.
Do I need to make provisions for dining (lunch & dinner)?
NAMSS will be providing lunch and refreshments over the two day event. NAMSS is also hosting our Annual Conference Gala Dinner on the Monday night alongside the Awards Ceremony after which you can boogie the night away with our Live Band or make use of the photobooth to capture fun memories of the evening. All you need to do is bring money for a drink or two.
Can I attend the AGM (Annual General Meeting) with a conference ticket?
Yes if you are a member of NAMSS. AGM papers will be emailed to you in advance of the Conference.
